Our Story

Creating Platforms & Platforming Creatives

In 1999, Urbstetiks founder MK Stallings began organizing events under the name Urban Artist Alliance — an idea that connected his efforts to the Black Arts Movement. It started with open mics, then became youth workshops, public lectures and art exhibition all while incorporating in the state of Missouri as a nonprofit. In May of 2014, Urbstetiks launched the UrbArts Gallery in Old North St. Louis on N. 14th Street. In 2022, we will open an art park in Baden.

Urbstetiks is a multidisciplinary organization that offers the follow public programs and locations.
